Riga FC reached the 2026 Latvian Cup final with a 3-2 victory away to RFS in a dramatic all-Riga semi-final on Thursday, setting up last year’s final rematch against FK Auda.
RFS took the lead in the third minute when Herdi Prenga headed home unmarked from a corner. Riga equalised almost immediately, as a clearance from Niks Sliede struck Reginaldo Ramires and rebounded into the net.
Ramires put Riga ahead three minutes after half-time with a spectacular overhead kick following Iago Siquiera’s delivery into the penalty area. RFS levelled from the spot in the 65th minute after Ahmed Awua Ankrah handled inside his own area, with Aleksandar Filipovič converting the penalty.
Riga had the final say when Raivis Jurkovskis crossed into the box and Salah Oulad headed past the goalkeeper in the 76th minute. Riga will face Auda in the final for the second consecutive year. The match is scheduled for late October, with the venue and kick-off time to be announced later.
