Latvian Cup holders Auda have avoided the two big Riga clubs in the draw for the semi-finals, leaving RFS and Riga to meet in a derby for a place in the final.
Instead, Auda will travel to Daugavpils for the other last-four tie, with the Latgale side still seeking a first appearance in the Latvian Cup final.
The quarter-finals were won by the four sides expected to go through, although Auda had the most difficult route. They let a two-goal lead slip against Grobiņa before recovering to win 3-2 after extra time.
Daugavpils booked their semi-final place with a 3-1 home win over Ogre United, while Riga beat Metta 4-1 at Skonto Stadium. RFS advanced with a 1-0 victory over Super Nova.
The derby between RFS and Riga will be staged at LNK Sporta Parks, RFS’s home ground. The semi-final matches are scheduled for 2 and 3 September.
