Lithuanian Women’s A Lyga can no longer boast a club with a perfect record after round four fixtures played on the eve of Easter, with just five goals scored across three matches.

The headline game in Vilnius ended goalless as Žalgiris held early leaders Gintra to a draw, with both sides also preserving their defensive records. Gintra saw more of the ball but struggled to create clear openings, with Žalgiris goalkeeper Aušrinė Bikutė repeatedly denying efforts from Tereza Romanovskaja and Justina Blaževičiūtė.

Žalgiris had the best chance after the break on the counter-attack when Valeriia Postol tested Gintra keeper Alla Herasymchuk from distance, while the visitors’ late threat largely came from set-pieces that failed to produce a decisive moment.

Elsewhere, MFA Žalgiris scored four unanswered goals in an away win against TransINVEST. Joy Ndidi Duru opened the count in the fourth minute, finishing first time after a Francesca Frericks delivery, before a second-half surge decided the contest.

Ugnė Lazdauskaitė made it 2-0 on 65th minute and then completed her brace two minutes after Olamide Sandra Adugbe had struck to put the visitors three up.

FA Šiauliai continued their efficient start with a third straight 1-0 victory, this time against Kauno rajono FA. Viltė Švarcaitė, who had earlier hit the crossbar, scored on 53 minutes, and Kauno rajono FA missed a chance to level when Victoria Titilayo Igbonoba sent a 70th-minute penalty over.

The league now breaks for almost three weeks before round five, which includes MFA Žalgiris vs FA Šiauliai, Žalgiris vs TransINVEST and Banga vs Gintra.
