MFA Žalgiris striker Alexandria Grace Kitty Madden will continue her career in Iceland after agreeing a move to Reykjavík side Knattspyrnudeild Gróttu.
The 26-year-old, who recently helped MFA Žalgiris retain the Lithuanian women’s futsal title, has been based in Lithuania since mid-2023 and has spent spells with FK Vilnius, TransINVEST and later Rugby Borough in England before returning to join MFA Žalgiris at the start of 2025.
Madden made an immediate impact in Vilnius colours. In last season’s Lithuanian women’s A Lyga she scored eight goals in 20 matches, while in the Baltic Women’s Football League she netted four times in four games. She also opened the scoring in the BWFL final in Riga on 29 October, but Riga FC Women hit back with three second-half goals to win.
MFA Žalgiris have kept the core of their squad for 2026, with head coach Vadim Carabetchi continuing in charge. Midfielder Erika Šupelytė has returned after a three-year break, while defender Kotryna Maželytė has also joined.
