Polish Ekstraklasa side Radomiak Radom have announced that the club and Lithuanian attacking midfielder Paulius Golubickas have mutually agreed to terminate his contract, making the 26-year-old a free agent.
Golubickas joined Radomiak in January 2025 following outstanding seasons with FK Žalgiris Vilnius in Lithuania’s A Lyga. During his time with Žalgiris, he was named A Lyga MVP and played a key role in helping the club secure the league title.
However, his move to Poland did not unfold as hoped. Golubickas struggled to cement a regular place in Radomiak’s lineup, making 12 appearances in the Ekstraklasa and registering one assist, while starting only two matches.
In the second half of 2025, the Lithuanian international was loaned out to Finnish champions KuPS in search of regular playing time. The move proved more successful, as Golubickas featured in 13 matches, contributed three assists, and helped KuPS lift the Finnish league title.
Having earned 39 caps for the Lithuanian national team, Golubickas now finds himself on the open market. Several of Lithuania’s top clubs have already expressed interest in bringing the creative midfielder back home, though the player is still weighing up his options and deciding on the next step in his career.
Over the course of his career, Golubickas has represented DFK Dainava Alytus, FK Sūduva, and FK Žalgiris Vilnius domestically. Abroad, he has also spent time in the Yeovil academy in England and was part of the Croatian club HNK Gorica.
