Estonian Premium Liiga club Pärnu JK Vaprus have confirmed that long-time winger Enrico Veensalu will leave the team after ten seasons and an impressive 347 appearances in yellow and black.

The 26-year-old, who has spent his entire professional career in Pärnu, became one of the club’s most recognisable faces. This season, he featured in 31 league matches, contributing two goals and two assists, while his overall tally stands at 59 goals for the club across all competitions.

In a heartfelt message to supporters, Veensalu reflected on a decade spent at his hometown club:

“First, I want to say a huge thank you. Thanks to Vaprus, I could fulfil the dream little Enrico once had – to call myself a footballer. And I did. I’m incredibly grateful for these ten years in Vaprus and wouldn’t trade this time for anything.

Special thanks to my teammates who stood by me, helped me, and made me a better player. And to the Brave Bears – your support was incredible. Without you, Rannastaadion would just be a stadium, but you turned it into the Bear Cave. A deep bow to you!

Sporting director Karl Palatu praised Veensalu’s decade-long journey:

“Enrico debuted for Vaprus in the Premium Liiga as a very young boy, and by the end of this season he leaves as a complete footballer who has left an undeniable mark on the club. His growth and his path have been shared with the entire Vaprus community. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you’ve given the club and wish you success and joy in the challenges ahead.”

In addition to his club career, Veensalu also represented Estonia at youth level, appearing for the U19 and U21 national teams.
