Latvian Virslīga club FK Auda have announced that they have mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Jurģis Kalns and his assistants Renārs Rode and Anthony McMullen, just four rounds before the end of the season.

The 43-year-old coach took charge of Auda before the start of the current campaign, returning to Latvia after a brief stint abroad in Asia, where he managed Visakha FC of Cambodia. During his time there, Kalns led the club through one of the most successful seasons in its history.

With four matches remaining in the Latvian Virslīga season, FK Auda sit fifth in the standings, two points behind their direct rivals BFC Daugavpils – a team that recently defeated them 1-0, marking Kalns’ final match at the helm.

Auda still have the Latvian Cup final ahead of them, where they will face Riga FC. However, the team will go into that decisive fixture under new leadership, as the club has yet to announce who will take over when the squad returns from the international break.

Throughout his coaching career, Jurģis Kalns has made a notable mark in Latvian football. He previously led FK Tukums 2000, guiding them to promotion to the Virslīga, but his most significant achievement remains the 2022 Latvian Higher League title with Valmiera FC.
