In the final and highly entertaining Round 30 clash of the TonyBet Virslīga, FK Auda broke SK Super Nova’s resistance at the very end, securing a dramatic 3-2 victory thanks to Jeudi Stevenson’s stoppage-time goal.

For Auda, who recently earned a place in the Latvian Cup final after eliminating RFS away from home, this was a much-needed bright spot between league fixtures. Meanwhile, Super Nova were still hurting from their painful defeat against direct rivals FK Metta in the previous round – and unfortunately for them, today’s script turned out to be even more brutal.

The visitors nearly shocked Auda right from the opening moments. Goalkeeper Roberts Ozols miscontrolled the ball outside his box, leaving Agris Glaudāns a clear chance to roll it into an empty net. But defender Deniss Meļņiks saved the day, clearing the ball off the line to prevent what could have been the fastest goal conceded in this year’s Virslīga.

Auda struck first in the 14th minute. After a VAR review, the referee pointed to the penalty spot when Eduards Dašķevičs was brought down inside the box. Bolivian international Enzo Monteiro calmly converted, making it 1-0.

Super Nova hit back quickly. Ralfs Šitjakovs equalized with a precise strike from inside the penalty area, but the parity didn’t last long. Just two minutes later, Jackson Kenio combined neatly with Kader Kone before firing from close range past Dāvis Viljams Veisbuks to restore Auda’s lead.

Early in the second half, Auda thought they had doubled their advantage, but the goal was ruled out for offside. That lifeline energized Super Nova, who once again showed their trademark resilience this season. In the 73rd minute, 18-year-old Ukrainian forward Artem Marchuk netted his third Virslīga goal in as many matches to bring the game level at 2-2.

It looked destined to end in a draw. But in the second minute of added time, Abdoul Kader Traore held the ball brilliantly on the flank before delivering a pass into the box. There, Haitian striker Jeudi Stevenson struck on the turn, beating the goalkeeper and sealing a dramatic 3-2 win for FK Auda.

With this victory, Auda drew level in the table with BFC Daugavpils on 43 points. Super Nova, meanwhile, suffered their second heartbreaking loss in a row. They remain in 8th place with 26 points—still two points above FK Metta in 9th and three clear of FK Grobiņa in 10th, just outside the relegation zone.

Next up, FK Auda visit FS Jelgava this Saturday, while SK Super Nova face FK Tukums 2000 away the following day.
