After spending the last two seasons in Saudi Arabia, Lithuanian goalkeeper Džiugas Bartkus will remain in the Arabian Peninsula but will continue his career in a new country.

Bartkus has signed with Al Riffa, a club based in the city of Riffa, competing in the Bahrain Premier League.

Al Riffa officially announced that Bartkus has joined the team as their new goalkeeper. Last season, the club finished fourth in the top division of Bahrain’s football league system.

Bartkus was last called up to the Lithuanian national team and, if he continues to perform at a high level, he could earn another call-up in the future, despite being one of the more experienced players in the squad.
