The Latvian Virslīga has officially launched a brand-new mobile app designed to bring fans closer than ever to the game. The app, developed by Swiss tech firm Blocksport, is available in both English and Latvian and is free to download via the App Store or Google Play.
“Our goal was to create an app that delivers everything modern football fans expect — live scores, match updates, news, Fantasy football, and a closer connection with their favourite teams,” said Maksims Krivuņecs, Chairman of the Virslīga Board. “Latvian football is growing, and so is our ambition to stay digitally connected with supporters. This app is a major step in building a strong digital ecosystem around the league.”
The app consolidates all things Virslīga into one dynamic hub: match schedules, league standings, team lineups, player profiles, live broadcasts, video highlights, post-match interviews, goal replays, and more. It also introduces a range of fan engagement tools, including quizzes and a Fantasy League game, making matchday more interactive than ever.
One standout feature is a new fan activity system. By completing various in-app actions, users earn points that can be exchanged for exclusive rewards from the league, its clubs, and partners.
Additionally, the app curates the latest Tonybet Virslīga news from top media outlets, providing an at-a-glance view of key stories in one convenient place. For non-Latvian speaking fans, our own Baltic Football Podcast is featured, and available to listen to, on the app as well.
“This app is more than just a companion — we believe it will become an essential part of every football fan’s daily routine,” Krivuņecs added. “It’s a tool for engagement, connection, and celebration of the game.”
