Žalgiris have completed the signing of Senegalese youngster Seydina Ousmane Seck on a contract running for the remainder of the season with options to extend for a further two years.
The 18-year-old, described by the Lithuanian champions as a versatile attacking player, arrived in Vilnius at the end of March and spent the past weeks training with the squad and featuring in friendly matches during a trial period.
Seck previously played for Senegal top-flight side AJEL de Rufisque before making the move to Lithuania.
Sporting director Giedrius Klevinskas said the club had been encouraged by Seck’s adaptability and development potential.
“Seydina is a versatile player. He can play on either wing and as an attacking midfielder,” Klevinskas said. “We value his pace, technical qualities and potential for further improvement. We believe he will integrate successfully into the team and grow steadily alongside the club.”
