Latvian club Auda continued their dream European run on Thursday, defeating Romanian giants FCSB 4-1 at Skonto Stadium to complete an impressive 7-3 aggregate victory and secure a place in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.

Leading 3-2 from the first leg in Bucharest, Auda absorbed early pressure before taking a crucial lead just before half-time. Eduards Dašķevičs delivered a pinpoint cross to Barthelemy Diedhiou, who from close range scored to give the hosts a two-goal aggregate advantage.

FCSB responded after the break through substitute João Paulo, whose header from a set piece cut the deficit and briefly reignited the tie. The visitors continued to push forward but were unable to find another breakthrough.

Instead, Auda delivered the decisive blow midway through the second half. After a FCSB mistake on their own end Diedhiou raced through on goal, and with a curled shot to the far side gave Auda a two goal lead on aggregate.

The Latvian side finished in style as Kader Kone added a third before captain Tin Hrvoj curled in a superb late free-kick in the last seconds of the match, sealing a memorable 4-1 victory.

Auda’s 7-3 aggregate triumph ranks among the biggest results in the club’s history and sends the Latvian side into the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round, where they will play against either Slovenian Aluminij or Albanian Dinamo Tirana
