According to sources cited by 11×11, reigning champions Kauno Žalgiris are actively negotiating a transfer with experienced Lithuania national team midfielder Vykintas Slivka.
Slivka most recently played in Japan, where he represented Sagan Tosu. During his time in Japan, Slivka spent part of his spell in the top flight, making 14 appearances and scoring two goals. In the other part of his time with the club, he played in the country’s second tier, where he recorded 34 appearances, two goals and three assists.
Talks between the two sides are reportedly already under way.
Kauno Žalgiris are seeking to bring the midfielder back to Lithuania and strengthen their squad. If the negotiations are completed successfully, the move would become one of the most high-profile signings of this stage of the TOPLYGA season.
