Riga FC Women complete clean sweep of major titles for second successive season

Riga FC Women have secured the LuckyBet Women’s League title to complete a clean sweep of Latvia’s three major women’s trophies for the second season running. They had already won the Latvian Cup and the Baltic Women’s Football League (BWFL), and are Latvian champions for a third consecutive season.

The title was confirmed with three league matches remaining after Riga beat FS Metta 5-1 away on Sunday. They fell behind in the second minute but recovered to claim victory.

Riga have now won all 21 of their league matches this season, following 24 consecutive victories last term and 12 more at the end of the season before that. RFS Women will finish second and FS Metta third, repeating the order of the past two seasons. Metta have taken bronze for a fourth consecutive campaign.
