RFS Women and Auda Women recorded convincing victories in Sunday’s Latvian Women’s Football League (SFL) fixtures, with both sides keeping clean sheets.
RFS swept aside Rīgas futbola skola 6-0 at home after leading 2-0 at the break. Anastasija Čemirtāne scored twice for the visitors and also provided an assist, while Viktorija Lavreņuka added two goals of her own. Alīna Ansone and Darja Borisjuka completed the scoring.
Auda were also comfortable winners, beating Iecava/Olaine 4-0 on their own ground in a match that was 2-0 at half-time. Dovile Dockaite scored and set up another, with Monta Ščucka, Linda Mergupe-Kutraite and Nikola Brahmane each getting on the scoresheet.
In the table, RFS won 15 points from five matches. Their main rivals – Riga FC Women – have 12 points from four games, Auda have nine from five, while Metta and Rīgas futbola skola have six each. Iecava/Olaine have three points and Rēzekne remain without a point. The seven-team, four-round competition runs until November.
