English Championship side Portsmouth are reported to be leading the race to sign Fredrikstad and Estonia midfielder Rocco Robert Shein according to reports out of Norway.
Norwegian newspaper Fredrikstad Blad said the Championship club are closest to agreeing a deal for the 22-year-old, with his valuation put at between €2.9m and €4.9m.
Millwall and Cardiff City, also in the second tier in England, are also credited with interest. Earlier this month, German transfer reporter Dominik Schneider wrote that Shein had an offer on the table from a leading club in Norway.
Shein is under contract with Fredrikstad until the end of 2028, and the Eliteserien side are currently 10th. The midfielder previously played for Flora, and in the Netherlands with Utrecht and Dordrecht.
Portsmouth who last time played in English Premier League in 2009/10 season last season finished 18th in the 24-team Championship.
