Nikolas Vitorović is set to become the new head coach of FK Riteriai in Lithuania following a surprise departure from SK Super Nova in Latvia.

According to our sources, the Serbian-Cypriot dual national Nikolas Vitorović (34) will be moving to Vilnius to take charge of the newly promoted FK Riteriai, following the departure of their previous manager, Sławomir Cisakowski, to Nõmme United in Estonia.

Vitorović came to the Baltics in 2023, joining the newly relegated Latvian club SK Super Nova from a Mongolian side Bavarians FC. Working as assistant coach to Ervīns Pērkons, Vitorović not only helped Super Nova to a convincing victory in the Latvian second tier, but also led their reserve team to the third division title.

Vitorović’s departure comes as something of a surprise, as Super Nova announced contract extension with him as recently as the 2nd of January 2025. However, according to Nikolas’s own social media page, an opportunity that he could not turn down came from Lithuania and, following discussion with Super Nova leadership, he and the club parted ways on amicable terms.

Much like Super Nova, Riteriai are also an academy-focused club, which is a type of organisation that Vitorović has experience working with. This will be his first managerial role in Europe, having previously managed teams elsewhere and never for longer than one season.

FK Riteriai are yet to announce Vitorović as their new manager.
