Virsliga side FK Liepāja have registered 23-year-old Brazilian centre-back João Pedro, known as Talisca, according to the Latvian Football Federation’s website.
The defender arrives after a spell back in Brazil with Série D club Jacuipense, having previously moved into the FC Alverca system in Portugal in 2024.
Jacuipense featured in several competitions this season, including the Copa do Brasil, where they reached the fifth round before losing heavily over two legs to Palmeiras. Talisca started the first match in São Paulo and was sent off in the 36th minute with Jacuipense already 1-0 down.
Liepāja are due to face Auda at Skonto Stadium in the Latvian Cup last-16 on Saturday evening.
