In the only Premium Liiga Matchday 13 fixture on Saturday, Pärnu JK Vaprus stunned league leaders FCI Levadia with an early opener, but eventually collapsed as the visitors scored six unanswered goals to secure a dominant 6-1 away victory.

The hosts surprisingly took the lead already in the third minute. Returning from injury, Sander Kapper delivered a dangerous low pass into the six-yard box, where Mark Lepik got a fortunate touch that sent the ball bouncing into the net.

Levadia responded almost immediately. Just a minute later Bubacarr Tambedou equalised after controlling a cross from Mihkel Ainsalu before calmly finishing past goalkeeper Ott Nõmm.

By the ninth minute the visitors were already ahead. Ainsalu drove forward from a tight angle and his effort deflected off a Vaprus defender before ending up inside the near post, with the goal later officially credited as an own goal to Matthias Limberg.

The chaos continued in the 13th minute when Ainsalu capped off a brilliant opening spell with a superb first-time strike from outside the penalty area following a cleared corner, making it 3-1 after only 13 minutes of football.

Levadia completely dominated the remainder of the first half. Tambedou hit the crossbar from close range, Ainsalu struck the post with a powerful long-range effort, while Vaprus struggled to contain the constant pressure.

The visitors added a fourth goal just before halftime in bizarre fashion. Frank Liivak attempted a bouncing long-range shot which confused goalkeeper Nõmm and ended up in the net after a slight deflection from Brazilian midfielder Wendell.

Despite already leading comfortably, Levadia continued attacking after the break. Nõmm was forced into several excellent saves to deny Tambedou, Ainsalu and Otoo, but eventually the pressure paid off again in the 65th minute when Liivak delivered a low cross for Wendell to tap home from close range.

The final blow came late in the match. Vaprus committed numbers forward trying to reduce the deficit, but Levadia punished them on the counterattack as Tambedou set up Joao Pedro, who calmly finished to complete the 6-1 scoreline.

Levadia finished the evening with dominant win, continuing their unbeaten run this season and strengthening their position at the top of the Premium Liiga table.

Meanwhile, Vaprus remain sixth in the standings with 16 points despite the heavy defeat.
