Portuguese third-tier club Leca FC have announced the signing of Lithuanian full-back Eduardas Jurjonas on a one-year contract following his departure from Lithuanian champions Kauno Žalgiris.
The 22-year-old left-back spent the last one and a half seasons with Kauno Žalgiris. During the club’s title-winning 2025 campaign, Jurjonas made 18 first-team appearances, scoring once and providing two assists. However, he failed to feature for the senior side this season, spending most of the campaign with the club’s reserve team in Lithuania’s second division.
Leca FC return to Portugal’s third tier this season. Founded in 1912, the club last competed in the Portuguese top flight during the 1997/98 campaign.
The move marks the third spell abroad in Jurjonas’ career. The Lithuanian defender previously spent time in the academy of Italian club Salernitana and also had a brief stint with Greek side Kalamata. Before joining Kauno Žalgiris, he represented Lithuanian club FK BE1.
Leca have already begun their Liga 3 campaign, collecting one point from their opening two matches. Jurjonas could make his debut on Sunday when Leça travel to face Paredes.
