The Ghetto Games Park in Grīziņkalns, Riga, will host the international 3-on-3 street football tournament “ISFA Masters Riga” on 12th and 13th of June, bringing players and teams from across Europe to Latvia.
The tournament will be played under the rules of the International Street Football Association (ISFA), which oversees the global 3v3 street football competition system and brings together street football communities in more than 50 countries. The total prize fund is €5,000.
Teams from Spain, Poland, Denmark, Croatia, Finland, Ireland and Austria are expected to compete in Riga, with ranking points and places among the leading 3v3 street football teams at stake. Organisers describe the event as one of the strongest ISFA tour stops in Northern Europe this season.
Riga has become an increasingly important centre for international street football in recent years, having previously hosted the first ISFA World Cup in 3v3 football. Latvian teams at the tournament will include players from the national futsal team, who recently competed at the UEFA Futsal Euro in Riga, as well as long-standing members of the Ghetto Football community.
The professional tournament will be accompanied by several other events at Grīziņkalns. On 12 June, the venue will host a Ghetto Floorball tournament, an open Ghetto Fight training session and the Ghetto Basket 1v1 tournament. On 13 June, the international amateur Ghetto Football tournament will take place across several age groups.
The ISFA Masters Riga group stage will be played on 12th of June from 18:00 to 22:00, with the knockout matches and finals scheduled for 13th of June from 15:00 to 20:00. The awards ceremony will follow at 20:00.
Admission for spectators is free of charge.
