Swiss fourth-tier side FC Wohlen have announced the signing of former Leevon PPK player Renē Baumanis.
The 18-year-old forward started his football career at FK Metta academy before moving to, then, Leevon Saldus in 2023, where he scored 12 goals in 25 appearances in his debut season in the Nākotnes Līga.
The next season, now playing for Leevon PPK following the unification between Leevon Saldus and FK PPK, he scored three goals in the opening three Nākotnes Līga matches. However, the young Latvian forward was unable to score again in his remaining 13 appearances, ending his career at Leevon PPK with 15 goals in 41 games.
He now joins FC Wohlen alongside another Latvian player – Martins Meiers, who spent the last season playing for Mārupes SC in the Nākotnes Līga.
