FC Flora Tallinn responded in emphatic fashion in Premium Liiga Matchday 8, thrashing JK Narva Trans 6-0 at home in one of their most convincing performances of the season.

Despite several changes to the starting lineup, Flora settled quickly and made their superiority count. The hosts took the lead in the 13th minute when Valdmets headed home from close range after a delivery from the right. Just five minutes later, Flora struck again on the counter, as veteran Sergei Zenjov burst down the flank and picked out Rauno Sappinen, who finished confidently to make it 2-0.

Narva Trans were not without moments of their own before the break. They created danger from set pieces and forced Flora into several blocks inside the box, while Ahmad Gero also tested the hosts. Still, Flora looked sharper and more clinical, taking their two-goal lead into halftime.

Trans began the second half with more aggression and spent periods higher up the pitch, but Flora gradually took full control. In the 68th minute, Zenjov combined well with Usta inside the box before finishing to make it 3-0. Four minutes later, Flora added a fourth when Zenjov’s low cross was turned into his own net by Kondrattsev.

The goals kept coming late on. Sappinen made it 5-0 in the 78th minute after driving into the area and beating Daniil Pareiko with a composed finish. Two minutes later, Alamaa completed the scoring after being played through behind the defence, calmly finishing to cap a dominant evening for the reigning champions.

Narva’s frustration also showed in discipline, with Campagna sent off late after picking up his second yellow card.

With this win Flora move closer to TOP 4 where Harju are, but still a bit further away from the Top 3 – now five points behind third place Paide Linnameeskond.
