FK Žalgiris Vilnius has strengthened its administrative team with the appointment of Arnas Paškevičius as the club’s new Head of Commerce.
In his new role, Paškevičius will be responsible for developing commercial partnerships, strengthening relationships with existing partners, and contributing to the club’s operational management.
For Paškevičius, the football environment is a familiar one. During his playing career, he represented his hometown club in Jonava, competing in Lithuania’s top division and earning call-ups to Lithuania’s youth national teams.
“Football became a way of life for me from a very young age,” said Paškevičius. “I decided on my own to start attending training sessions with friends from the neighborhood, and over time it grew into a consistent commitment and eventually a professional path.”
While pursuing his football career, Paškevičius studied at the Lithuanian Sports University. After concluding his active playing career, he transitioned into the field of sales and business development.
Over the past several years, he worked at the international technology company Teltonika, where he managed markets across the United Kingdom, Benelux, and Scandinavia. He was later promoted to Head of Sales for the UK team.
According to Paškevičius, the decision to return to the sports industry came naturally.
“Over time, I realized that I wanted to return to sports management. I was looking for a faster-paced environment, more dynamic decision-making, and a workplace connected to sport. The football community feels close to me, so when I saw the opportunity to join Žalgiris, I didn’t hesitate for long,” he said.
“As a player, I never had the opportunity to represent the most decorated club in Lithuania, but that dream has now come true in a different way.”
