The opening stages of the match were short on chances, with both sides struggling to create clear opportunities. The first shot on target arrived only in the 27th minute, when Tymofii Marusii tried his luck from long range, but his effort was comfortably handled by Grobiņa goalkeeper Vjačeslavs Kudrjavcevs.
Moments later, the visitors created the best chance of the first half and made it count. Ali Aruna, who had endured a difficult debut in the previous match, won a penalty after being brought down inside the box. The match ultimately ended level, with Ogre United securing their second point of the season, while Grobiņa moved to eight points from six matches, sitting sixth in the standings.
