On Thursday evening, during the halftime break of the TOPsport A Lyga fixture between Hegelmann and Kauno Žalgiris, the quarterfinal draw for the 2025 Lithuanian Cup took place at Raudondvaris Stadium.
Eight teams remain in the hunt for the prestigious Lithuanian football trophy — six of them from the TOPsport A Lyga and two representing the TOPsport Pirma Lyga.
Adding an extra layer of intrigue to this stage is the fact that only two of the remaining clubs — FK Panevėžys and Marijampolė’s Sūduva — have previously lifted the Cup. The rest are seeking their first taste of glory in the competition.
The draw was conducted by LFF President Edgaras Stankevičius and TOPsport A Lyga President Gintaras Staniulis, who revealed the following quarterfinal matchups:
- FK Kauno Žalgiris vs FK Marijampolė’s Sūduva
- FK Babrungas vs FC Džiugas Telšiai
- FK Jonava vs FK Panevėžys
- FC Hegelmann vs FA Šiauliai
The quarterfinal ties are scheduled to be played in August.
