In the last matches of Matchday 7 in the Estonian Premium Liiga, Parnu JK Vaprus managed to secure a point against JK Tallinna Kalev, while Narva Trans achieved their fourth win in the last five league games by defeating Tartu JK Tammeka 2-1.
Parnu, who had accumulated seven points in their first six matches of the season, hosted Tallinna Kalev, a team that started the season poorly with only one win and five defeats, placing them at the bottom of the league table. Last season, Parnu JK Vaprus lost three out of four encounters against Tallinna Kalev, although the last match between these two teams ended in a victory for Vaprus.
In the 29th minute, Tallinna Kalev took the lead when Marko Lipp fouled a player in the penalty area. The referee awarded a penalty, which Taaniel Usta successfully converted. Shortly thereafter, Vaprus was awarded a penalty of their own when Joosep Poder was fouled. League top goal-scorer Henri Valja converted the spot-kick, marking his fourth goal of the season.
At the beginning of the second half, Parnu took the lead. Henri Valja executed a long-range free kick that was saved awkwardly by the goalkeeper, allowing captain Magnus Villota to score on the rebound, notching his second goal of the season.
However, just like in the first half, the lead was short-lived. In the 58th minute, Taaniel Usta responded by scoring his second goal of the game, equalizing the score.
The remainder of the match concluded without any additional goals, resulting in both teams settling for a point.
