FS Jelgava continue to strengthen their squad as they officially announce the signing of prospective Latvian youngster Ēriks Boroduška.

Ēriks Boroduška (19) and FS Jelgava reached an agreement that will see the Latvian youngster join the squad for the upcoming season. Boroduška, who already made his debut for the club and played every single game of the season thus far, is a product of Riga FC academy and, despite his young age, comes with some international experience, having spent a year and a half in Italy with the Livorno academy.

The 19 year old winger is quick and creative – qualities which earned his a call-up to the Latvia U-21 squad, where he made his unofficial debut in a friendly against Lithuania on the 21st of March. He did not represent Latvia on the U-19 level, although does have 5 caps and 1 goals for U-17 national team.

FS Jelgava started the season exceeding most expectations as they put up very stiff resistance to local grands, drawing with Riga FC (1-1) and losing to RFS (1-0) in the final minutes of a very tense game. They currently sit 9th in the table with 2 points.
