Leevon PPK, who play in the Latvian second tier, announced a partnership with the Children’s Hospital in Riga whereby the club’s sponsor – a road construction company “Ceļinieks 01” – will donate EUR100 for each goal the club scores during their 2025 campaign.

Latvian second-tier club Leevon PPK, best known for being a grassroots football club associated with the “Pa Pāris Kausiem” (eng.: “over a couple of pints”) football community, announced that their sponsor – a road construction company “Ceļinieks 01” – has commited to donate EUR 100 to the Children’s Hospital in Riga for each goal that the club scored during the upcoming Nākotnes līga season. Donations will be administered via the Children’s Hospital Fund and the club hopes to raise EUR 10,000.00 in donations of this kind over the course of the season.

Last season, the club scored 36 goals.

Leevon PPK head coach, Māris Landmanis, commented on the initiative:

We have big ambitions for this season and, thus, we are very pleased about this initiative. By combining our skills on the pitch with the help of our friends, we will be able to help those who need help the most – our future and our children. I am delighted that we managed to accomplish this collaboration and proud that there are people amongst us who have the ability and, most importantly, the desire to get involved in something like this. Personally, I would like to thank Dārta and her family on behalf of our supporters – Ceļinieks 01 – as well as to the Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital Fund for being receptive to this idea, for their trust and collaboration. I wholeheartedly hope that more supporters will join this initiative over the course of the season so that each goal we score brings not just EUR 100 but maybe EUR 200, or even EUR 300, or even more! We are wishing everyone health, a good start to the season, many goals scored and many important victories, both on and off the pitch.

Latvian second tier, Nākotnes līga, kicks off on the 28th of March and Leevon PPK will begin the season by hosting their arch-rivals – Ogre United. Leevon PPK will play their home games at the LNK Sporta Parks.
