Dāvis Ikaunieks with two goals helps his DPMM win the Singapore Cup match

In today’s Singapore Cup match, Dāvis Ikaunieks scored two goals for the second consecutive game, helping his team, DPMM FC, secure a 3-1 victory over Albirex Niigata.

The 31-year-old forward, who joined the club in late December, had a slow start, failing to score in his first four matches. However, he has turned his performance around significantly, netting six goals in his last five games.

In the match against Albirex Niigata, Ikaunieks opened the scoring in the 29th minute. With DPMM being up 2-1 late in the game, he scored again in the 88th minute to secure a two-goal advantage and ensure three points for his team.

Overall, Ikaunieks has scored three goals in three Singapore Cup matches. The next challenge for him and DPMM will be an away game against Young Lions on Saturday in the Singapore Premier League.
