On Saturday, Kristers Tobers and Aberdeen defeated Dundee FC to end their 14-game streak without a win in the Scottish Premiership.

Since moving to Aberdeen, Kristers had not experienced a league victory until this match, marking it as a much-needed turnaround for one of the oldest clubs in Scotland.

Kristers started in the previous six games for Aberdeen, and this match was no different. For the second consecutive game, he formed a center-back partnership with Dutch defender Mats Knoester, who joined Aberdeen last week as a free agent from Hungarian giants Ferencváros.

Aberdeen took the lead in the 29th minute when Kevin Nisbet scored his fifth league goal of the season. At the beginning of the second half, Aberdeen doubled their lead thanks to Finnish winger Topi Keskinen, allowing the fans to breathe a sigh of relief. A two-goal advantage is a solid foundation to end the unbeaten streak. However, just two minutes later, Dundee narrowed the gap.

Despite the tension, Aberdeen held on for the win. This win and ending the anti-record streak seemed almost destined because this was their first league victory since November 9, when they also beat Dundee FC.

With this victory, Aberdeen climbed to third place in the league table, accumulating 38 points after 26 games. Dundee United, currently fourth, lost their match today and remains just one point behind Aberdeen.

Next week, Kristers Tobers and Aberdeen will aim to extend their winning streak when they host Kilmarnock.
