A new platform which will help coaches of Lithuania national youth teams collate and identify potential candidates launched today, the Lithuanian Football Federation announced.
The Lithuanian Football Federation is taking an innovative step towards boosting both the quality and quantity of the candidate pool for national youth teams by launching a new, open platform where anyone can submit information on a player for consideration by the sporting department of the Federation.
According to Deividas Šemberas, who is the Technical Director of the Lithuanian Football Federation, the aim of the new platform is to drastically increase Federation’s awareness about youth prospects for national teams.
The main goal of this initiative is to obtain even more information about our young football talents. Representatives of the Technical Department and coaches visit and watch many of our club and academy matches live, but we believe that this will help make the processes even more efficient. The integration of this platform is extremely important not only for the integration of Lithuanians living abroad, but also for local academies – this way they will be able to reach us even more easily with information about talented players, to whom the specialists of the technical department will definitely pay attention.
