
The 16-year-old Latvian goalkeeper Nils Balagušs has officially joined the Torino FC academy and will continue his football journey in Italy.
The 197 cm tall shot-stopper began his career at Rīgas Futbola Skola academy before moving to SK Super Nova ahead of the 2022 season.
Last year, Balagušs made his debut for SK Super Nova’s first team in a Nākotnes Liga match against Ogre United, where Super Nova secured a 3-0 victory. His performances have also earned him three caps for Latvia’s U17 national team, featuring in matches against Estonia, Sweden, and England.
Balagušs becomes the eighth Latvian player to represent a Serie A club academy, joining an group of young talents in Italy:
