On the deadline day the Italian Serie B side Frosinone has announced that their striker Kristiāns Mežsargs will continue his career with Serie A side Como 1907.

The 19-year-old, who yesterday celebrated his birthday, has been with the Frosinone organization since 2022. His impressive performances with the Frosinone Primavera team lately attracted the interest from several Italian clubs.

Como, Cagliari, Sassuolo, and Cremonese all expressed interest in the Latvian striker, but Como won the race, ultimately securing his signature in the last day of the winter transfer window.

Mežsargs has had an outstanding season with Frosinone’s Primavera team, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in just nine games. He is a product of the FS Metta academy. According to reports from Italy, Como 1907 is paying an undisclosed transfer fee for the talented Latvian U19 national team striker.

Kristiāns will strenghten the Como Primavera side at the start.
