Champions FCI Levadia have announced on their club website that 26-year-old Ernest Agyiri has returned to Levadia after a year and a half away.

The Ghanaian winger first joined Levadia in 2021. Before moving to Estonia, he was with the Right To Dream Academy in Ghana and then joined the English powerhouse – Manchester City Academy. During his time at City, he was loaned to clubs in Norway, Belgium, and Cyprus. However, in 2020, his contract with Manchester City expired, and he became a free agent.

In his first stint with Levadia, Agyiri made 83 appearances in all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing 20 assists. He won multiple titles with Levadia, including the Estonian League, the Estonian Cup, and the Estonian Super Cup. He also received the Goal of the Year award in Estonia in 2022.

In the summer of 2023, Agyiri left Levadia to make a permanent move to Danish side Randers, where he made 24 appearances, scoring twice and assisting three times. This season, he was loaned to Kolding IF in Denmark, but he only made three appearances. Now, Agyiri is back in Estonia, joining Levadia on a season-long loan.

“It feels good to be back at Levadia! I decided to return on loan because I know both the players and the staff here. I am looking forward to my fourth season with Levadia, as our goal is to win the league this year and advance as far as possible in the qualifiers!” Agyiri told the club’s press service.

“Welcome back home, Ernest! First of all, I would like to thank the Randers club for their professional cooperation. I am very happy to have a worthy player back in our ranks, and I wish both Ernest and the team much success for the upcoming season!” said Levadia President Viktor Levada.

Levadia, currently in a training camp in Spain, will start the new Premium Liiga season on February 28 by hosting the newly promoted team Harju Laagri.
