Omran Haydary, a left winger who can also play on the right side and in the center of the attack, is the latest newcomer to the A Lyga side Marijampolė Sūduva.

The 27-year-old footballer was born in Afghanistan but moved to the Netherlands at a young age. He spent ten years training in the Roda system in Kerkrade. Although he holds Dutch citizenship, he has played 12 matches and scored one goal for the national team of Afghanistan.

In 2017, the then 19-year-old Haydary transferred to Emmen, and a year later, he moved to Dordrecht, where he competed in the Dutch Eerste Divisie for two seasons.

In 2019, his career took him to Poland, where he joined Olimpia Grudziądz. In the Polish second division, he scored 12 goals in 20 matches and made two assists before transferring to Lechia Gdańsk, a team in the Polish Ekstraklasa.

Unfortunately, Haydary struggled to find his footing in the top league, which led him to return to the second division in 2022, joining Gdynia’s Arka team. During his time there, he scored nine goals and made four assists in 29 appearances.

In 2023, Haydary moved to Georgia, representing Kutaisi Torpedo and Samtredia. Last season the Afghani winger made 18 appearances in the Georgian top flight, scoring four goals and assisting twice.
