Italian Serie C club Pescara Calcio has announced that they have loaned midfielder Georgi Tunjov to fellow Serie C side Pineto Calcio until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old Estonian joined Pescara in the summer of 2023 after leaving SPAL, where he made his Serie A debut in 2019, becoming the second Estonian player ever to appear in the Italian top flight (the first was Ragnar Klavan).
This season, Tunjov has made 14 appearances for Pescara in Serie C, scoring one goal and providing one assist. His performance has declined compared to last season, in which he scored seven goals in 28 matches.
Pineto Calcio, established in 1962, is experiencing its second-ever season in Serie C, having been promoted for the 2023/24 season. Currently, they sit in 7th place in the Serie C Group B league table. Tunjov’s new team will play their next match on February 2nd when they face Pontedera away.
