FS Jelgava has officially announced the signing of Adam Dvořák, a promising young goalkeeper from the Slavia Prague academy and a former member of the Czech Republic U19 and U20 national teams.

Dvořák, a product of the prestigious Slavia Prague youth system, joins FS Jelgava after spending the past season on loan with Motorlet Prague, a team competing in the Czech Republic’s third tier. During this time, he gained valuable first-team experience and demonstrated his abilities as a reliable and composed presence between the posts, playing 24 matches.

A standout moment in his youth career was becoming a Czech U19 champion with Slavia Prague’s junior team. Additionally, Dvořák has represented the Czech Republic at the U19 and U20 levels, showcasing his skills on the international stage.

Interestingly, Dvořák is no stranger to Latvian football. On August 24, 2022, he defended the Czech U19 national team’s goal in a friendly match against Latvia’s U19 side.

Dvořák will join a goalkeeping group at FS Jelgava that currently includes Toms Leitis and Dele Alampasu. However, it remains uncertain whether Alampasu, who has been training with the club, will stay on for the new season. The addition of Dvořák ensures Jelgava has a strong candidate for the starting position, regardless of Alampasu’s future with the team.
