Young striker Haralds Silagailis, who previously represented SK Super Nova and shared the title of top scorer last season with 11 goals, has parted ways with the team before making his debut in the Latvian Virslīga.
The 19-year-old’s career began in various Latvian academies, culminating in his move to the Riga FC academy in 2020. In 2022, he made his debut in the Nākotnes Līga, playing for FK Salaspils, before brief spells with Košice U19 in Slovakia and Santa Maria Cilento in Italy’s Serie D. Despite promising opportunities, he struggled to establish himself at any of these clubs for longer than half a season.
Joining SK Super Nova, Silagailis had his most productive season to date, playing 26 matches and scoring 11 goals. This performance earned him the distinction of being the team’s joint top scorer alongside Ukrainian Dmytro Sula. Now, with both players leaving the club, SK Super Nova will need to find new leaders in attack.
Silagailis has also represented Latvia’s U19 national team, making four appearances and scoring once against Estonia U19.
