Premium Liiga side Paide Linnameeskond has announced their fourth off-season signing as they strengthen their squad with Bosnian defender Dražen Dubačkić.

The 25-year-old Bosnian center-back has spent almost all his career in the Bosnian league, last year the midfielder moved to the Serbian second league side, where he joined Mladost GAT, but he managed to play there just half a season making eight appearances.

In the summer, Dražen returned back to Bosnia, where he made nine league appearances for Sloboda Tuzla in the Bosnian Highest league.

According to the city team’s sports director, Gert Kams, Dražen Dubačkić is a modern-day central defender. “Dražen gives us both tactical and strategic options in the game plan, as he is very successful in one-on-one defensive duels and is powerful both in the air and on the ground,” said Kams. “He is fast and athletic and a necessary link in our team to add competition and depth to the defensive department.”

New signing Dražen Dubačkić said he is excited about the new challenge. “The club is great, the training conditions are fantastic and I have been very well received,” he said. “I am already looking forward to getting on the pitch to start training and show my best side in the Premium League and Conference League games. I believe that together we can fight for the Estonian championship title. See you at the stadium, I am really looking forward to meeting the fans and their support for the team!”
