Seventeen-year-old Latvian forward Nils Veinbergs scored two goals, including the game-winner, as his team, Ilves, defeated the defending Veikkausliiga champions, KuPS, in a Finnish Liiga Cup match.
Roberts Uldriķis made his debut in the German 3. Liga, while Kristers Tobers secured his first victory in Scotland.
Finnish Liiga Cup
Nils Veinbergs, who signed a long-term contract with Ilves in January after playing for the RoPS youth system, made an impressive debut in the Liiga Cup game. He entered the match in the 62nd minute, replacing former Finnish national team striker Roope Riski, when the score was 1-3. Veinbergs scored his first goal in the 75th minute. Ilves equalized in the 90th minute, and then, in stoppage time, the Latvian forward netted the game-winner, stunning last year’s Veikkausliiga champions, KuPS.
Nils was called up to the Latvian U-18 national team last November.

German 3. Liga
Roberts Uldriķis made his debut for German 3. Liga side Arminia Bielefeld. After being announced by his new club yesterday, the Latvian National Team striker came on the field at the start of the second half in a match against rivals Cottbus, in which Arminia lost 0-2. Currently, Arminia Bielefeld sits in 5th place in the league table with 31 points.
Scottish Cup
Kristers Tobers started his third consecutive game for Aberdeen F.C., who finally got a win. In the Scottish Cup 4th round match, they traveled to Elgin and secured a 3-0 victory over local side Elgin City, which competes in the Scottish League Two (4th tier). Tobers played the full match. Aberdeen F.C., in the next game, will host St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership next Saturday.
Singapore Premier League
Dāvis Ikaunieks played his second match for his new club, DPMM FC, in the Singapore Premier League match. He again played a full game, but his side suffered a defeat against Geylang 0-2. DPMM FC currently sits in 6th place in the Singapore Premier League with 21 points.
Serie C, Italy
Raimonds Krollis was an unused substitute for US Triestina, as his team lost 1-3 to Atalanta U23 in an Italian Serie C match.
