FC Kuressaare, who finished eighth in the Premium Liiga last season, have registered 18-year old midfielder Markus Johannes Leivategija and 19-year old full back Sten Patrick Prunn from FC Flora into their squad.

Leivategija mainly featured for Flora’s U21s team in the Esiliiga last season, playing in 33 matches and scoring 4 goals. Prior to Flora, Leivategija played for JK Tallinna Kalev, where he registered two Premium Liiga games in 2022. He has also featured in 5 games for the Estonian U17s.

“It feels good to have signed for Kuressaare. The first trainings have gone well and I have been accepted nicely. Signing for Kuressaare happened fast and I am ready to give my everything, to help the team reach as high as possible in the Premium Liiga. Individually, I would like to make a big step in my development this season,” Leivategija told Kuressaare’s press release.

Prunn made his Premium Liiga debut last season on the 17th of April against Paide, coming on as a substitute on the 63rd minute in a 1-3 loss. Since then, he has made 6 more appearances (5 in the starting lineup) in the Premium Liiga, assisting one goal.

“We saw, that Kuressaare is a place, where he could get a lot of minutes and experience in Premium Liiga. It would probably be difficult to get these minutes in Flora, if the players on his position stay fit. For us it is important, that he will be able to play. Prunn is definitely in our future plans, but for that he needs practice in Premium Liiga,” Flora’s sporting director Taavi Trasberg told Soccernet.ee
