CD Castellón has announced the signing of Serbian midfielder Miloš Jojić on a free transfer from Latvian Virslīga side Riga FC.

Born on March 19, 1992, in Stara Pazova, Serbia, Jojić began his career with Teleoptik in Serbia’s second division, making 62 appearances over two seasons. His performances earned him a move to Partizan Belgrade in 2012, where he played 50 matches, contributed in domestic and European competitions, and helped secure the league title in the 2012/2013 season.

Jojić’s next step took him to Germany, joining Borussia Dortmund under Jürgen Klopp in January 2014. During his stint with the Bundesliga giants, he made 20 appearances, won the German Super Cup, and gained valuable experience in the Champions League. He later signed for Köln, where he played 79 matches across all competitions, including the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and European tournaments.

After stints in Turkey and Austria, Jojić returned to Partizan Belgrade in 2020, making 83 appearances over two seasons. His contributions were crucial in the UEFA Europa Conference League, where he played 16 matches, helping the team reach the round of 16.

Most recently, Jojić excelled at Riga FC in Latvia, where he played 26 games last season, scoring twice and providing nine assists. At CD Castellón, he reunites with former Riga teammate Douglas Aurélio, who joined the club last winter.

Jojić’s signing underscores Castellón’s ambitions to improve their standing in the Segunda División, where they currently sit 13th.
