According to the Croatian media, Riga FC midfielder Hrvoje Babec is the primary target for NK Osijek, a club in the Croatian top league. Reports indicate that NK Osijek has made an offer to Riga FC, and they are currently awaiting a response.
The 25-year-old Croatian joined Riga FC in the summer of 2022 when he was acquired from Gorica for a record transfer fee of 1.6 million Euros.
During his 2.5 seasons with Riga, Babec has made 91 appearances across all competitions and scored ten goals. He is currently with the team in Dubai for a training camp. If Riga decides to allow him to leave, it is unlikely to be for a low transfer fee, as he is under contract until the summer of 2026.
Before joining Riga, the former Croatian U-21 international played for three seasons with HNK Gorica in the Croatian top-flight league.
