After spending a season in Kazakhstan, Vladislavs Sorokins is returning to Latvia as FK Liepāja has officially announced the signing of the defender.
The 27-year-old defender embarked on his first venture abroad last season by joining Qyzyljar FC in Kazakhstan. During his time there, he made 24 appearances in all competitions and contributed one assist.
Before his stint in Kazakhstan, Vladislavs played for FC RFS for nearly eight seasons, winning the Virslīga title twice and the Latvian Cup twice. He ranks third in the club’s history for the most official games played, with a total of 184 matches. Additionally, he has played for FK Jelgava and Skonto Rīga in the Virslīga.
Sorokins has made ten appearances for the Latvian National team.
Liepāja, who finished sixth in Virslīga last season, recently also announced the signings of Bruno Melnis, Djibril Gueye, Vjačeslavs Isajevs, and goalkeeper Dāvis Ošs.
