Lithuanian goalkeeper Marius Adamonis has been loaned to the Italian Serie B team FC Südtirol, as announced by his current club, Catania FC. FC Südtirol is obligated to purchase him permanently if certain conditions are met.

The 27-year-old Adamonis joined Catania, a Serie C side, as a free agent in the summer of 2024 after spending eight years under contract with Lazio. This season, he shared the starting position with Latvian goalkeeper Klāvs Bethers. In total, the former Lithuanian international made ten league appearances, conceding 12 goals and achieving four clean sheets.

This move marks Adamonis’s eighth club in Italy, where he had played since 2016 when Lazio purchased him for over one million euros; however, he never made an official first-team debut there and was consistently loaned to various Serie B and Serie C teams.

Currently, FC Südtirol sits in 19th place on the Serie B table, with 18 points.
