Latvian Women’s National Team striker Anastasija Poļuhoviča signed a multi-year contract with the women’s team of Czech giants AC Sparta Praha.
AC Sparta Praha announced the signing of Latvia’s and RFS Women’s striker Anastasija Poļuhoviča (19) on a multi-year contract yesterday. This is the club’s second signing in this winter’s transfer window.
Poļuhoviča, who is a product of SFK Riga (now RFS Women) academy is an exciting prospect in Latvian women’s football. Despite being only 19, she already boasts 25 caps and 6 goals for the national team, having made her debut back in 2022 against Luxembourg. Playing up front and as a right attacking winger for RFS Women, Anastasija made 20 appearances and scored 13 goals last season for the Latvian women’s vice-champions. Overall, she made 43 appearances and scored 26 goals in Latvia.
“We have a young talented player coming to us who can play in multiple positions and her typology fits our playing style,” said head of the women’s AC Sparta Praha team Pavla Satrapová, commenting on the signing. “She had several offers from prominent leagues, but she chose Sparta. She knows that she can develop her potential here“
The transfer fulfils Anastasija’s dream of playing abroad – something that she expressed already back in 2022 in an interview with the Latvian Football Federation (in Latvian).
