According to sportas.lt, one of last season’s best A Lyga players, Paulius Golubickas, will join the Polish Ekstraklasa side Radomiak Radom. They also report that this transfer should be official this week, with Golubickas signing the contract.
25-year-old attacking midfielder last season had a superb season for the champions FK Žalgiris – eight goals and 14 assists in 33 league games. This will be the second try for Golubickas to make it as a professional abroad, as after his successful spell in 2019 in Sūduva, he moved to Croatian highest league side Gorica, where he was for three years. After that, he returned to Lithuania with Vilnius Žalgiris side.
After 18 games played, Radomiak Radom is 12 in the eighteen-team Polish Ekstraklasa league table. The league is currently in winter break, and Radomiak’s first game back will be on February 2, when they will travel to Bialystok to face the current Ekstraklasa champions, Jagiellonia.
