Riga FC has announced the departure of 24-year-old Argentine midfielder Gonzalo Muscia. The club confirmed that the contract with Muscia was terminated by mutual agreement, marking the end of his brief spell at the club after just one season.
After leaving Riga FC, Gonzalo Muscia has signed with Argentine club Nueva Chicago, who play in the Primera Nacional. The 24-year-old midfielder returns to his home country, continuing his career in one of Argentina’s top football divisions.
Muscia joined Riga FC ahead of the 2024 season and made 21 appearances for the team. During his time with the club, he scored one goal and provided one assist. His contributions were spread across both the Virslīga and the Latvian Cup, where he played a key role in several matches.
Before coming to Latvia, Muscia had experience in the Argentine leagues, representing clubs such as “Sol de Mayo” and “Arsenal Sarandi.” Despite showing promise, Muscia’s time at Riga FC was relatively short, and now both sides have agreed to part ways.
