FC Džiugas Telšiai recently announced on their social media that they have re-signed of Japanese attacking player Hirotaka Yamada and Bulgarian center-half Miroslav Pushkarov. Additionally, the club confirmed the departure of Ukrainian defender Sergiy Kulynych and midfielder Joaquim Domingos whose contracts has expired.
Hirotaka Yamada, a 25-year-old player capable of playing both as an attacking midfielder and on the wing, joined Džiugas in the summer from another Lithuanian club, Nevežis. During his half-season with the team, he made 16 appearances in the A Lyga.
Miroslav Pushkarov, a 29-year-old Bulgarian center-half, returned to Džiugas at the beginning of the 2024 season, having previously played for the club from 2021 to 2022. He made 32 league appearances in his latest stint and scored two goals. Prior to joining Džiugas, Miroslav had experience playing in the Bulgarian second division, the Slovakian second tier, and the Icelandic top league.
Sergiy Kulynych, also 29, had been with Džiugas for an extended period. He joined the team in the summer of 2023 and made a total of 52 appearances over a season and a half, scoring three goals. He played 33 league games in the last season and found the net once.
Portuguese midfielder Joaquim Domingos joined the Džiugas side before the 2024 season and made 26 league appearances tallying two assists. The 24-year-old has already signed a contract with another club and will continue his career in Asia, having joined YB Longding, which competes in the Chinese second division.
